Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, whose high school theater program was just chosen by Broadway World as its first highlighted program, will hold its next Open House on Sunday January 22 at 11 AM to 2 PM. Usdan Center, whose alumni include Natalie Portman, Mariah Carey and Seth Rudetsky, offers a full program of theater, including the new "Summerstock" for advanced high school theater students. The new program will cover all aspects of production, including acting but also design.
Usdan Center is annually attended by more than 1600 students ages 6 to 18 from New York City and throughout the Tri-State area, transported by air-conditioned buses. No audition is needed for most courses, and about one-third of students attend on scholarship. The magnificent 200-acre woodland campus with state-of-the-art studios is in the Huntington section of Long Island.
Families who cannot attend the January 22 Open House may make appointments for other dates. Contact Gail London at (631) 643-7900, or call the NYC office at (212) 772-6060, or write to openhouse@usdan.com, or visit www.usdan.com. Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts
