Theatre Lovett produce work for all ages and tour extensively nationally and internationally. Their recent co-production with The Gate Theatre, The Tin Soldier, won the 'Best Soundscape' award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2022 whilst 2020's opera Hansel and Gretel (Engelbert Humperdinck) co-produced with Irish National Opera and The Abbey Theatre received the 'Best opera - overall theatrical experience.'  

Today, the New Victory Theater announced that three on-demand shows are now available to rent for $15. The virtual offerings, available exclusively on demand, include Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s Stories of Oceania, Second Hand Dance’s Sunny Days, Insect Hands, and Night Tree, and Theatre Lovett’s The Girl Who Forgot to Sing Badly. 

Performances of Theatre for One, the intimate theatrical experience that brings together one actor and one audience member, will start live, in-person performances tomorrow, December 18 at Dublin’s Abbey Theatre. The limited engagement, produced by Landmark Productions, Octopus Theatricals, and the Abbey Theatre, will play December 18-23.

Taking place on what would have been the weekend of the festival, there will be a live -stream of SLICE #2 of the festival to online audiences.

Writer Michael West artfully distills the dark essence of Mary Shelley's classic into a fateful 70 minutes, gratifying literary scholars and beguiling newcomers. I imagine Director Muireann Ahern enjoyed collaborating with her colleague, Louis Lovett, to unsettle and bewitch the audience. (Ahearn & Lovett are Joint Artistic Directors of Theatre Lovett.) Lovett was triumphant as both Victor Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster, undertaking his heinous crusade with aplomb.

Following their sell out family production of They Called Her Vivaldi in December 2017 at the Abbey Theatre, Theatre Lovett return to the Peacock Stage with a new work for older audiences (not suitable for under 16s).

A deliciously dark musical fable for children and adults starring renowned Irish vocalist Lisa Lambe is on tour.  Recently returned from a whirlwind tour of USA Theatre Lovett, one of Ireland's leading companies making work for all ages bring their classic slapstick, song and theatricality to audiences young and old. A sell out show at Dublin Theatre Festival in 2013 A Feast of Bones is a deliciously dark retelling of Henny Penny, a classic fable of survival. Featuring live music, an original score, and some dazzling musical talent; Lisa Lambe, Martin Brunsden (Hot House Flowers). 

Each year, Annenberg Center Live takes young audiences places they can only imagine with its annual Children's Festival. This year is no exception. The 2016 Philadelphia International Children's Festival is set to run June 2-4. The Festival features circus arts, music, theatre and storytelling as well as lots of activities in the outdoor FUN ZONE. Tickets cost $10. Seating is general admission. The story, Lovett's performance, and the design elements clearly have the power to engage even those most restless children.

This year, the Town Hall Theatre in association with Baboró International Arts Festival for Children will be bringing you exciting and vibrant shows for children and families. The first show we are delighted to be associated with is the brilliant 'Mr Foley The Radio Operator', performed by the wonderful Theatre Lovett on Saturday 1st February at 12.15pm and 2.15pm. In this inventive one-man production, Louis Lovett spins a fantastical yarn about a young heroine who journeys over snowy lands and high seas to save the day and rescue an entire city. Commissioned by The Ark, written by accomplished Australian playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer (The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy, New Vic 2011) and helmed by celebrated director Lynne Parker, Theatre Lovett's The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly is Irish storytelling with a modern twist. The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly is presented by The New Victory Theater and will make its NY premiere at The Duke on 42nd Street from May 31 through June 9, 2013.

The 55th anniversary Dublin Theatre Festival will run for 18 days from today, 27 Sept - 14 Oct at various venues around the city. - This year the Dublin Theatre Festival will celebrate 'Your City, Your Stories', putting Dublin at the very heart of this 18 day theatrical spectacular.

The New Victory Theater will launch its 2012-13 season with the U.S. premiere of URBAN by Circolombia, an edgy, thrilling and inspiring circus featuring young Colombian performers who share their real-life stories through acrobatics, aerial work and tremendous feats of strength. URBAN, which was originally commissioned by Roundhouse London as part of CircusFest 2010, will run from October 12 through October 21.

Roscommon Arts Centre recently announced the addition of The Abbey Theatre's production of B for Baby by Carmel Winters to its autumn programme line-up with performances on Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October. Featuring Louis Lovett and Michele Moran and directed by Mikel Murphy, this production was winner of The Irish Times Theatre Awards best New Play 2010.

The Abbey Theatre, Ireland's national theatre, is delighted to announce the nationwide tour of Carmel Winters' much applauded production of B FOR BABY, from August to November of this year.
