This September, SoBe Arts will present the world premiere of TESLA, a multidisciplinary opera, by Carson Kievman and Thomas Babe, about the exceptional life, explorations and brilliant inventions of Nikola Tesla.  We are please to announce our amazing cast and creative team and share the story of Tesla.

The School of Hard Knocks is thrilled to present the Melbourne International Singers Festival, from 8 to 12 June 2017.

It's an Acquired Taste! The brand new, witty, insightful, sometimes cutting show by Andy Payne. The musical, about a community choir, is presented by the Melbourne International Singers Festival.

The 34th season of Schwabacher Debut Recitals continues on Sunday,April 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater with mezzo-soprano Renee Rapier, bass Anthony Reed and pianist and San Francisco Opera Head of Music Staff John Churchwell. They will present The Woods: A Rom-Com Recital, a series of songs by American composers compiled by Reed into a narrative with original dialogue. The performance will be directed by first-year San Francisco Opera Adler Fellow Aria Umezawa.

In each of its seasons "PREformances with Allison Charney" turns the spotlight on the virtuosity of the concert series' extraordinarily talented collaborative pianist, Craig Ketter. When he assumes center stage onMarch 13th Mr. Ketter will take the opportunity to play the infrequently performed music of 20th century composer, pianist and conductor Viktor Ullmann. Over the past decade pianist Craig Ketter has collaborated with colleagues in "The Ullmann Project," bringing the music Viktor Ullmann and a lost generation of musicians stifled by the Nazi regime to a broader audience. As with all PREformances' special guests, Mr. Ketter's performance anticipates a special, future engagement - in this case, a recording project of the complete piano sonatas of Viktor Ullmann.

The Israeli Opera will present 'Lucia di Lammermoor' by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, conducted by Daniele Callegari, directed by Emilio Sagi and performed by international and Israeli soloists, The Opera Orchestra - The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion and The Israeli Opera Chorus conducted by Ethan Schmeisser who will also alternate as the opera's conductor.  Check out a behind-the-scenes look below!

Cape Town Opera's 2017 season launches with an explosive meeting of South Africa's foremost young singers directed by a veteran theatrical innovator. It includes a major new international musical and brings acclaimed international singers to the stage for the third in the Naspers Grand Masters series.

Opera Australia's largest and most ambitious production returns to Melbourne in 2016. Directed by Neil Armfield, Wagner's Ring Cycle will play at Arts Centre Melbourne from 21 November to 16 December 2016. Melbourne Ring Cycle 2016 comprises four operas - Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried and Gotterdammerung - totalling around 16 hours of music. As in 2013, the cycle of four operas will be performed three times.

The 11th edition of Operadagen Rotterdam, from May 20 to 29, is more complete and newer than ever. The program themed 'New ways' includes more national and international premiers than previous editions. Operadagen Rotterdam presents the complete program today, also the start of ticket sales.

Helmed by the multi-award winning production team of David Lampard (director / designer) and Peter Johns (musical director) the production boasts of cast of 50, including a collection of Adelaide's most talented up and coming youngsters - and one dog.

The inaugural Melbourne International Singers Festival will launch on June 7, 2013 with the world premiere of the Beyond Hard Knocks documentary. The Singers Festival runs from June 7-10.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce after its wildly successful screenings of National Theatre Live productions from London, it will begin screenings of San Francisco's Grand Opera Series. The series features screenings of Madama Butterfly, Don Giovanni, La Rondine, and Samson and Delilah.
