Rebecca started her theatrical career at Pola Jones in 1996, where she worked on many West End musicals and UK tours, including Return to the Forbidden Planet, Tommy, Chicago, West Side Story, Spend Spend Spend and Fosse. She then general managed Our House for Tiger Aspect and the original production of Billy Elliot for Working Title (both winning Olivier Awards for Best Musical). In 2008 she joined Stage Entertainment, where her credits include both Hairspray and Sister Act in the West End.

Additional Cast Revealed For UK and Ireland Tour of & JULIET


West End actor, Matt Cardle, will play the role of Shakespeare in the upcoming UK and Ireland tour of & Juliet. He joins the previously announced Gerardine Sacdalan as Juliet, Sandra Marvin as Angélique and Lara Denning as Anne.

Stage Entertainment and Syco Entertainment, the producers of I Can't Sing! at the London Palladium, have announced that the beginning of preview performances have again been postponed due to a technical problem with one of the show's set pieces. Performances were originally slated to begin yesterday, Feb. 27. As of now, the first preview is set for sometime next week.

HAIRSPRAY to Tour Ireland and the UK in 2013; Mark Benton Stars as Edna Turnblad


Stage and screen star Mark Benton will lead the company of the award-winning musical comedy HAIRSPRAY when it embarks on a UK and Ireland tour next year. The multi-million production will officially open at Manchester's Lowry Theatre on Wednesday 13 February. Mark will play the larger than life Turnblad family matriarch Edna in the show, with further casting to be announced soon.

More than 250,000 new tickets have today been released for sale for the West End hit musical SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, now booking through to 23 February 2013. Jonathan Church's Chichester Festival Theatre production transferred to London's Palace Theatre last month, where it has been playing to packed houses, standing ovations and huge critical acclaim.

According to Baz Bamigboye for Daily Mail, a new musical based on the movie, 'Made in Dagenham,' is on its way to the West End in 2013. James Bond score writer David Arnold is on board to write the music for the show, with Richard Thomas writing the lyrics. A reading was held earlier this week, and a full workshop is set to take place in February.
